July 14-15              Villa Louis War of 1812 Battle of Prairie du Chien                     Prairie du Chien, WI
                                 War of 1812 came to Prairie du Chien on July 17, 1814,
                                 when U.S. and British-Canadian soldiers clashed on what
                                 are now the grounds of Villa Louis. Events from the historic
                                 event will be interpreted and the fur trade context explored
                                 through the perspective of Native Americans as well as British
